We believe in the power of giving back to the community that shapes us. Through our initiative ‘B2 Gives Back,’ we dedicate our time, money, and resources every other month to make a positive impact on local organizations.
B2 GIVES BACK
It’s not just about doing good; it’s about actively contributing to the betterment of our community and creating lasting, meaningful change. Below is a little tour of our hearts, showing projects and organizations that truly matter to us.
How B2G Helped:
At B2, supporting education has always been at the forefront of our philanthropic initiatives. Every August for the past five years, our founder and CEO, Ben, picks a handful of educators and schools to support. The criteria are simple. The recipient must be an educator, the donation must be a legacy item, as in something that can be used for years to come, and it also has to benefit a large number of students.
We chose to spread kindness by providing New Baden Elementary School with its own branded book vending machine! This was the brainchild by a retired and current Title 1 teacher at NBE who developed an incentive program for their students to win free books. They believed that an investment in education is essential to our students and educators and that books are powerful tools that promote literacy, cultural awareness, cognitive development, and creativity. We couldn’t agree more!
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Our mission is more than words. We always aim to prevent and relieve suffering with every action. The Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides comfort to people affected by disasters; supplies about 40% of the nation’s blood; teaches skills that save lives; distributes international humanitarian aid; and supports veterans, military members and their families.
How B2G Helped:
We have proudly hosted three blood drives with the American Red Cross, transforming our office into a donation center. Rallying our team and community to contribute to the cause of saving lives. Together, we made a tangible difference and saved lives.
Toys for Tots is a program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves that collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to children in the community that are in need.
How B2G Helped:
We hosted a B2 Toy Drive at the office and made sure to create a cozy atmosphere, serving up delicious sandwiches, steaming hot chocolate, and an array of delightful treats to keep spirits high. The joyous occasion wasn't just about good food and company; it was about coming together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone involved, we managed to collect an astonishing 194 toys for the Toys for Tots program.
Get Outdoors Nevada’s mission and vision is to connect Nevadans and visitors from all backgrounds and ages to the state’s diverse outdoor places. To this end, we pursue a three-fold approach of education, service, and community engagement. Many of our efforts and programs focus on the needs and lives of families and school children, especially those who are at-risk and often have limited opportunity to experience the great outdoors. We are committed to preserving Nevada’s public lands, urban trails, and community parks. We love Nevada and Nevada’s outdoors.
How B2G Helped:
We met early morning on a Saturday to clean up the Sloan Trail. During our morning cleanup, we saw wildlife and found fun treasures like antique cans dating back to the 30s and 40s. As a group, we collected two full buckets of trash and got some fresh air in the process all while exploring a trail none of us had been to before.
Once Upon a Room’s mission is to enrich the lives of hospitalized children, teens and infants who are fighting serious illnesses and long-term acute trauma.
Room Decoration Program:
Based on the child’s likes and special needs, we customize a plan to decorate their hospital room with items they can take home with them as they continue their recovery. For many of these kids, their fight is far from over, so we work with Once Upon a Room to create a very personal home-like environment from what was once a cold and stark space. Everything the patient receives from Once Upon a Room is theirs to keep will go home with them.
How B2G Helped:
We teamed up with Once upon a room at Sunrise Children’s Hospital to convert a hospital room into a Cruella-themed oasis for a young girl facing an extended stay. It was a humbling experience to see how much joy one simple act of kindness brought her.
Since 1954, Opportunity Village has been dedicated to helping people with disabilities find the very best version of themselves. Through workforce development, community employment, day services, inclusive housing, arts and social recreation, they are able to find new friends, realize future career paths, seek independence and community integration, and unleash creative passions. Opportunity Village thrives with the funding from our social enterprises, signature events and the generous philanthropy of our donors and community partners.
How B2G Helped:
We donned our Santa hats & laced our running shoes for the Las Vegas Great Santa Run! All our race proceeds helped Opportunity Village raise money for adults with disabilities in our community. It was such a wonderful team bonding experience that supported a great cause.
Three Square’s mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community.
Three Square works with a service network of community partners, including nonprofit and faith-based organizations, schools and after school programs as well as feeding sites in our community to reach struggling individuals and families at risk of hunger.
How B2G Helped:
We helped pack our Kids Cafe meals to ensure that food-insecure children involved in after-school programs receive delicious, nutritious meals that they need to thrive.
Project 150’s mission is to offer free support and services to homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students in the Southern Nevada area so they can remain in school and graduate.
How B2G Helped:
Our volunteering efforts focused on replenishing and organizing an array of clothing items tailored for teenagers at Betty's Boutique. With teamwork, we meticulously sorted through countless donated garments and helped replenish and organize the boutique. Our collaborative efforts not only enhanced the functionality but also contributed to support for young individuals in need.
The Just One Project’s mission is to help build a stronger, healthier, and connected community by increasing access to food and services.
How B2G helped:
The B2 team rolled up our sleeves and got to work stamping bags and carefully packing them with essential food items. Knowing that these bags would soon find their way into the hands of seniors and families facing difficult circumstances filled us with a sense of purpose and determination. As we worked side by side, we were reminded of the importance of compassion, and the profound impact that even a small act of kindness can have on someone's life.
Grant A Gift Autism Foundation – Ackerman Center’s mission is to provide comprehensive clinical services, resources, education, research, and advocacy for the development of meaningful solutions. Providing better outcomes for individuals, families, and our community living with autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities.
How B2G helped:
We ran & walked the Race for Hope 5K to celebrate Autism Acceptance & Awareness Month! Our race contributions helped the Grant a Gift Autism Foundation - Ackerman Center with care, support, therapy, and social programming for children & young adults living with neurodevelopmental differences. Not only did we get a bit of exercise & sunshine in, but we were able to support an amazing cause & make a difference in our community.
Clean the World’s purpose to make the world a better place is brought to life in part via its Global Recycling Program, diverting soap bars and plastic amenities (which the hospitality industry would otherwise discard) from landfills and manufacturing new soap bars. By doing so, Clean the World helps reduce pollution, save water, and decrease the carbon footprint of thousands of hotel partners globally, while improving the lives of women, children, and communities worldwide by donating the new soap bars to global NGOs, such as The WASH Foundation (an evolution of Clean the World Foundation).
How B2G Helped:
Our team eagerly headed to the Clean the World Foundation, hosted by Las Vegas Sands to assemble hygiene kits for those who are less fortunate. As we worked diligently, assembling each kit with care, we knew that our efforts were directly impacting the lives of individuals in need. Our time spent at the foundation was not only about building hygiene kits; it was about building connections, spreading kindness, and making a positive impact in our community.
